Product & Game Operations Lead — XP StrikeOut

Drive XP StrikeOut from development through testing, launch, and early growth — owning priorities, playtests, and player feedback alongside the founder.

ProductFull-timeAbuja, Nigeria · On-site / Hybrid₦400,000 / month + performance incentives + equity after trial period

XP StrikeOut is our upcoming mobile-first multiplayer game where players compete in short, high-energy matches for prizes. We are building and launching it starting with Abuja.

This is not a traditional corporate Product Manager role. We are looking for someone who likes getting involved — testing things personally, talking to players, coordinating teams, spotting problems, and making sure things actually get done.

You will work directly with the founder and coordinate with engineering, 3D art, operations, content, and external partners. You should be comfortable taking ownership without waiting to be told what to do at every step.

What you'll do

  • Own the XP StrikeOut backlog — turning product decisions into clear tasks, requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Coordinate engineering, art, and external contractors so priorities stay unblocked
  • Test every new build, document bugs and usability problems, and push the critical ones to resolution with engineering
  • Run internal and external playtests, watching for where players get confused, frustrated, or drop off
  • Turn feedback from tournaments, WhatsApp, social media, and playtests into concrete product recommendations
  • Improve the game loop, onboarding, rewards, and monetization, and keep the founder current on what needs attention

What we're looking for

  • High agency and grit — you spot problems and act before anyone assigns them to you, with results to show for it
  • Background in product management, game operations, project management, startups, gaming, or technology
  • Organized and strong at follow-through, comfortable in a fast-moving startup
  • Curious about player behaviour — why people use or abandon products
  • Comfortable testing software and documenting bugs clearly
  • Able to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams, and to decide with incomplete information

What success looks like

  • Know XP StrikeOut well enough to name its highest-priority product problems at any given time
  • Keep engineering and art priorities organized
  • Run regular playtests without being asked
  • Surface meaningful player insights to the team
  • Move bugs and product decisions from discovery to resolution quickly
  • Help XP StrikeOut reach a stable and engaging public launch

Content Creator & Community Lead — XP StrikeOut

Make XP StrikeOut impossible to ignore — creating the day-to-day content around the game, its players, and its tournaments.

Content & CommunityFull-timeAbuja, Nigeria · On-site / Field-based₦250,000 / month + performance incentives + equity after trial period

XP StrikeOut is our upcoming mobile-first multiplayer game where players compete in fast-paced matches for prizes. We are building a gaming brand designed for Nigerian players, creators, and online communities.

This role is for someone who understands social media culture, can create content quickly, enjoys being around people, and knows how to turn gameplay, player reactions, tournaments, and everyday moments into engaging content.

You might be recording gameplay one day, interviewing players the next, creating a TikTok trend, covering an XP Arena tournament, working with an influencer, or testing video hooks for an ad campaign. We are not looking for someone who waits for a weekly content calendar — we want someone who constantly sees opportunities to create.

What you'll do

  • Shoot and edit short-form video for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and WhatsApp — gameplay, player reactions, tournaments, and behind-the-scenes
  • Build content around XP StrikeOut features, challenges, prizes, and launches, working with the founder and product team on what's coming
  • Turn funny, competitive, or emotional player moments into content with strong hooks and formats
  • Work directly with players and stay active in comments, DMs, and community conversations to spark user-generated content
  • Track what performs, make more of what works, and develop the winners into paid ad creative
  • Stay plugged into Nigerian internet culture — gaming trends, memes, music, football, entertainment — and turn it into content angles

What we're looking for

  • Fluent in TikTok, Reels, and Shorts — you understand hooks, pacing, captions, music, and what holds attention
  • Able to shoot on a smartphone or camera and edit short-form video quickly
  • Comfortable approaching strangers and players with a camera
  • Strong energy and creativity, and able to work independently without constant direction
  • Willing to test ideas, read the performance, and improve fast
  • Plugged into Nigerian youth culture and interested in gaming, entertainment, sports, or creators

What success looks like

  • Producing consistent, high-quality content every week
  • Building recognizable XP StrikeOut content formats
  • Capturing community moments without being told, backed by real relationships with Abuja creators and gamers
  • Generating organic reach that brings new players into XP StrikeOut
  • Identifying content that performs well enough to become paid advertising
  • Making XP StrikeOut feel active, culturally relevant, competitive, and fun online
